Next, you will need to clean the steel wool. I recommend using 0000 steel wool because it is finer and has more surface area. The easiest way to add tannin is by making tea. Mixing with the final topcoat could be a problem, but that can be solved by applying a layer of shellac over the leather dye before the final topcoat.
